Accessibility as a foundation for truly inclusive technology

At My Aion, we develop technologies that aim to redefine the very concept of Artificial Intelligence by placing the human being, in all their diversity, at the centre of innovation. We believe that progress is not meaningful unless it is accessible. That is why we have chosen to align with the European Accessibility Act and to actively promote a more inclusive, equitable and accessible web that respects the needs of every individual.

The website aionai.io is one of the tools through which we share and deliver our solutions. Ensuring its compliance with digital accessibility standards is an integral part of our vision: to build cutting-edge technologies that also serve as instruments of inclusion, transparency, and openness.

Implemented improvements

In spring 2025, following an internal technical review, we implemented several upgrades to enhance user experience and website accessibility:

  • The semantic structure of the code was strengthened through the use of appropriate HTML5 tags and a correct heading hierarchy, making navigation clearer and more accessible, especially for users relying on assistive technologies.
  • Areas with low color contrast were corrected to improve readability, especially for users with visual impairments.
  • All informative images have been provided with meaningful alternative text, improving the experience for screen reader users.
  • Contact forms and interactive fields were reviewed to include clear labels, instructions, and error messages.
  • Keyboard navigation was improved with visible focus states and consistent pathways.
  • The lang attribute is now correctly defined across all language versions, enhancing automatic content rendering.

Ongoing improvements

Some content and features in the website are still being enhanced and will be finalised by the end of 2025. These include:

  • Adding subtitles, transcripts, and, when needed, audio descriptions to video and multimedia content.
  • Gradually converting PDF documents found in secondary sections into accessible PDF/UA formats or replacing them with equivalent HTML content.

Evaluation method

This statement is based on an internal technical self-assessment conducted between May and June 2025 using the following tools and methods:

  • Lighthouse (Google Chrome DevTools)
  • WAVE (WebAIM)
  • axe DevTools (Deque Systems)
  • Manual testing with screen reader (NVDA)
  • Keyboard navigation tests (TAB, Shift+TAB, Enter, Esc)
